POWER ON WITH INVERTER GENERATOR TECHNOLOGY
Outdoor enthusiasts understand how important it is to have all the essentials for a safe and fun trip, whether it’s camping in the great outdoors or in the comfort of a caravan or motorhome. Having access to inverter generator portable power means not only being able to power everyday convenience items like fridges, lights and stoves but also power luxury electronics such as game systems, music devices, air conditioners and laptops.
Briggs & Stratton’s PowerSmart™ Inverter generators are exclusively designed for any outdoor recreation activity where a reliable and quiet power source is a must. “The generators use an onboard computer to convert direct current power to high quality AC output,” says Grant Buck, Channel Development Manager, Briggs & Stratton. “The result is cleaner power that more closely replicates the power produced by electric utilities, making them safer for items like smartphones, televisions, laptops and other sensitive electronic equipment.”
Traditional camping generators can often run at consistently high speeds, but the PowerSmart generators offer improved fuel efficiency by automatically adjusting the engine speed to conserve fuel, providing longer operation. Briggs & Stratton’s PowerSmart Inverter Generators are a quieter power solution when compared to traditional ‘Roll-Frame’ generators, making them more camp-site friendly.
PowerSmart P2000
Designed with the modern camper in mind, the PowerSmart P2000 Inverter Generator facilitates all the comforts of home by allowing campers to power a laptop, a TV, a coffee maker and a fan (dependent on wattage requirements).
Weighing only 25kgs (dry weight), the P2000 is up to an impressive 45 per cent lighter than a similar sized traditional rollframe portable generator and also features a twin grip, two person cushioned handle system for easier lifting.
Designed with an easier starting, long-life overhead valve engine, the P2000 also features an air lockable fuel cap and anti-vibration rubber feet.

PowerSmart P3000
The P3000 is the largest generator in the Briggs & Stratton Inverter Generator range. The P3000 features an informative LCD StatStation™ display, which advises the customer on their power usage, as well as scheduled maintenance reminders.
The P3000 also contains a USB charging port and can be easily transported thanks to its wheels and retractable handle or, the twin cushioned carry handles.

TIPS FOR OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS USING GENERATORS WHILE CAMPING:
1. Ensure that the park permits generators as not all do
2. Assess how many appliances will need power to avoid overloading the generator
3. Opt for a quiet generator to avoid angry campers
4. Place the generator on a level surface
5. Avoid exposing the generator to excessive moisture, dirt and dust
6. Avoid running the generator near windows, doors and other openings where the exhaust fumes can enter indoors
7. Never operate generators indoors or in enclosed areas to avoid carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. During use, be sure to point the exhaust away from occupied spaces.
