BRIGGS & STRATTON CORPORATION FEATURES 8 BRANDS AT GIE+ EXPO
Products, innovations and technologies from the family of brands showcase the Company’s large footprint in the outdoor power space
MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (November 7, 2018) – Briggs & Stratton Corporation recently featured products, innovations and technologies from a number of its brands – Briggs & Stratton®, Billy Goat®, Ferris®, InfoHub®, Simplicity®, Snapper®, Snapper Pro® and Vanguard® – at the 2018 GIE+ EXPO in Louisville, KY.
“Briggs & Stratton Corporation and its family of brands continue to innovate with the goal of making work easier for end users; whether performing routine lawn maintenance at home or tackling the toughest jobs as part of a landscaping business,” says Todd Teske, chairman, president, & CEO of Briggs & Stratton. “As Briggs & Stratton celebrates its 110th anniversary year, the innovations featured at this year’s show were even more meaningful as we reflect on where it all began in 1908 and how significantly the business has transformed and will continue to transform long into the future.”
While visitors at each of the Company’s three booths experienced an increased focus on commercial products, the Briggs & Stratton booth continued to feature engine innovations that support why Briggs & Stratton remains the world’s leading manufacturer of small gasoline engines for outdoor power equipment. Briggs & Stratton will feature expanded residential engine lithium-ion battery starting options that offer consumers more options for easy, effortless starting. The new Integrated InStart® embeds the lithium-ion battery into the engine and delivers starting for nearly an entire season with up to 150 starts on a full charge.
Also in the Briggs & Stratton booth, dealers and partner OEMs explored the following in support of the Company’s commercial growth strategy:
- Vanguard reinforced its commitment to innovation, productivity, durability and reliability with features such as Oil Guard and EFI that save landscapers time, cost and fuel. And the new Vanguard 200 horizontal shaft engines that were designed from the ground up based on customer feedback, are equipped with TransportGuard™; offer easy cold weather starting; and outperform the Honda GX200 with 15% less vibration, 40% quieter performance and half as many air filter and oil changes.
- InfoHub continues to gain momentum since it was introduced at last year’s EXPO. The groundbreaking functionality is expanding into diesel and on-board device tracking solutions and allows landscapers to further refine and maximize their crew efficiency and productivity by tracking fleet trucks and fleet diesel applications such as skid steers, loaders and field mowers. InfoHub for Dealers also was introduced, which enables dealers to easily track their fleets and spend more time focusing on the needs of their customers.
- Industry-leading service with a continued focus on education and support—pre-and post-purchase—provides dealers and consumers the assistance they need, when they need it. Dealers can continue to expect a unified, national distribution network for parts availability and delivery, unmatched engine warranties and dedicated technical support and resources. In partnership with an industry-leading producer of performance chemicals, Briggs & Stratton will expand efforts educating consumers on the importance of using a fuel stabilizer to combat engine problems related to stale gas.
Ferris is expanding beyond cutting, and introduced its entrance into the turf care market with a full line of stand-on spreader/sprayers and stand-on blowers. These products, alongside cutting equipment such as Ferris’ all-new ISX™800 zero-turn commercial mower and a new lineup of stand on mowers by Snapper Pro, will help extend landscaper profitability with the equipment needed to get tough jobs done more easily and efficiently.
Billy Goat now has the largest line of blowers on the market with the addition of the Hurricane™ X3 and Z3 zero turn radius stand-on blowers starting in January 2019, which broadens Billy Goat’s world class Force™ pedestrian blower line. Additionally, Billy Goat introduced its Next Gen 25-inch PLUGR® aerator, which offers up to 42,550 sq. ft. of aeration per hour in a single pass.
